Kua Numbers
Kua numbers are used in the application of 8 House feng shui. In some parts of the world, it is also known as 8 Mansions feng shui. But they refer to the same school of thought.
Calculate Kua number for men
Take the birth year and add up the individual numbers until you get a number no larger than 10. Then subtract the resulting number from 11.
Example: Birth year 1975
1+9+7+5=22
2+2=4
11-4=7
Kua number is 7
Since Kua number 5 does not exist, a man will have Kua number 2 if the result from the above formula is 5.
Calculate Kua number for women
Take the birth year and add up the individual numbers until you get a single digit number. Then add 4 to the resulting number.
Example: Birth year 1976
1+9+7+6=23
2+3=5
4+5=9
Kua number is 9
Since Kua number 5 does not exist, a woman will have Kua number 8 if the result from the above formula is 5.
